There is an Indian style biscuit very similar to this in appearance that I love. Instead of cheese it is full of the flavour of butter and cumin. The difference is that "stuffing" is actually stuffed into the bird before cooking. "Dressing" is the same thing just cooked separately. The crock-pot version is great because it helps free up the oven. It is really tasty too!

We call the stuff you put on salads "dressing" as well.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05674972611474003693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6463235641026610614.post-49841908721402464012012-01-10T11:11:11.631-05:002012-01-10T11:11:11.631-05:00A belated reply but finally I am getting around to...A belated reply but finally I am getting around to all the FN entries - thank you so much for taking part!

I too did my turkey Nigella style this year, higher temperature, quicker cooking time and I was VERY impressed. Our bird always comes from the same butcher but this year with the different method was another league altogether.

I'm intrigued by this crockpot "dressing" - I guess it's what we call "stuffing" over here - "dressing" is what we pour over our salads so I was a little confused. I have a crock pot so I'll have to try this sometime.

Happy New Year!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14509940451345540183noreply@blogger.com
